How many levels are in Denshattack!?
Denshattack! has 67 playable stages. These are spread across 9 chapters in 8 distinct regions of Japan. The 67 stages include standard point-to-point routes, race tracks, open exploration missions, Trick Parks, and boss encounter stages. New players should start with our Denshattack! Beginner Guide for first-run controls and route practice.
Regions overview
The game follows a south-to-north journey across Japan, mirroring the route of a real Shinkansen line. Each region has a unique visual theme, obstacle set, and dominant trick window.
| Region | Theme | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Kyushu | Rolling countryside, rural tracks | Tutorial mechanics. Learn clean jumps, grind entry, and basic trick timing. |
| Osaka | Dense urban grid, elevated lines | Faster obstacle reads. Lane changes and wall-ride windows open up. |
| Inland Sea | Bridges, coastal crossings | Longer grind stretches. Combo bridging becomes important here. |
| Kobe / Hyogo | Industrial port zones | Hazard density increases. Stamina-based routing matters more. |
| Nagoya | Corporate city corridors | First exposure to multi-path route choices for scoring splits. |
| Tokyo | Neon megalopolis, rival gang territory (Chapter 7) | High density, rival encounters, the most complex boss fight setups. |
| Tohoku | Mountain passes, snowfield tracks | Vertical stages dominate. Gravity changes and recovery become essential. |
| Hokkaido | Frozen tundra, open straights | Final region. Longest combo windows but hardest obstacle patterns. |

Each of the nine chapters ends with a boss battle except Chapter 9, which closes with the Final Track and the game's ending. Bosses are rival Denshattackers from each region.

Stage structure and naming
Stages use a numbering system formatted as chapter–section–stage (for example, 1-2-1 or 1-6-2). Some stages also have specific names — for example, stage 1-6-2 is called "Trick Terminal." The full community-confirmed name list is still being compiled after launch.
| Stage type | What happens | Completion goal |
|---|---|---|
| Route stage | Point-to-point run with trick windows | Clear, hit high score target, complete 7 Dares |
| Race track | Timed racing format against rivals or the clock | Finish within the time goal; Dares often involve lap tricks |
| Trick Park | Open sandbox for practicing specific trick sets | Hit score targets and Dare objectives within the park |
| Exploration | Open route with hidden collectibles | Find spray cans, film rolls, and complete route Dares |
| Boss stage | Movement-based encounter with the chapter boss | Deplete boss HP using tricks and routing pressure |
Hardest early levels
The first real difficulty spike in Chapter 1 is not speed — it is reading an obstacle while deciding whether to keep your combo alive. The Yoshie boss fight at the end of Chapter 1 is the first major skill check, introducing movement-based boss mechanics that reappear throughout the game. Learn safe combos in our Denshattack! Trick List and Scoring Guide to pass these checks.
- Practice grind entry on each new stage before extending your combo chain.
- Use one reliable ollie-into-grind loop until the layout feels automatic.
- Do not restart on every crash while learning. Finish the route to see what hazards come later.
- For the Yoshie fight: focus on staying on track and landing cleanly. Trick variety matters less here than survival.
The 7 Dares system
Every stage except boss fights has 7 Dares. These are the completion objectives that gate 100% on each level.
- 5 general Dares — objectives like hitting all speed boosts, finishing within a time limit, landing a set number of clean tricks, or keeping a combo alive through a specific section.
- 2 stage-specific Dares — unique to that stage's layout or theme. These are usually the hardest and require route knowledge to plan for.
Spray cans and film rolls are the main collectibles tracked in the Dares. Film rolls in particular are worth prioritizing early since they unlock customization content.
100% completion tips
100% on every stage requires: clear the stage, hit the high score target, meet the time goal, and complete all 7 Dares. Trying to do all of this in one run is almost always the wrong approach.
- Layer your runs. Run 1: clear the stage and learn the layout. Run 2: add the score target. Run 3: clean up Dares. Run 4: film rolls and spray cans.
- Score runs and collectible runs conflict. Chasing a score route often means skipping collectible positions. Do them separately.
- Time Dare vs. score Dare. These two often pull you in opposite directions. Hit time first (fewer trick windows), then replay for score (more trick windows, slower routing).
- Boss stages have fewer Dares. Focus on learning the boss movement pattern before worrying about bonus objectives.
- Train loadouts matter for 100%. Speed-focused trains help with time Dares. Trick-focused trains help with score and variety Dares. Switch loadouts between runs.
FAQ
How many levels are in Denshattack!?
Denshattack! has 67 playable stages across 9 chapters and 8 regions. This includes standard routes, Trick Parks, race tracks, exploration missions, and boss encounters.
How many chapters does Denshattack have?
9 chapters. Each ends with a boss battle except Chapter 9, which closes with the Final Track and the game's ending sequence.
What are the 7 Dares?
Each stage has 7 Dares: 5 general tasks (hitting speed boosts, time goals, trick counts) and 2 stage-specific objectives unique to that level's layout. Completing all 7 gives you 100% on that stage.

No. Clear each stage first, then return for Dares, score, and collectibles in separate focused runs. Mixing all goals at once slows down your progress significantly.
